Frank Greco announced as chief executive officer

WILSONVILLE, OR, Aug 26, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — XZERES Wind Corporation announced today that it has named small wind icon and industry veteran, Frank Greco, to be its Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.

Frank Greco comes to XZERES Wind Corporation with substantial small wind industry success and experience as part of his 34+ years in leadership roles for small and medium size companies in manufacturing, technology and high growth businesses. He brings hands on experience in Operations, Material Planning, Marketing & Sales, Plant Engineering and Human Resources. Mr. Greco will be responsible for all aspects of XZERES Wind Corp.’s business and his initial focus will be on domestic and global sales growth, product portfolio expansion and optimization of products and channels. Most recently, from April 2004 to March of 2010, Mr. Greco was Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Southwest Windpower Inc., where he successfully positioned the company for its next level of increased business and brought the organization to industry leadership status. Additionally, while at Southwest Wind Power, Mr. Greco led the launch of 2 new product platforms, successfully re-engineered the company into new facilities and markets, established EU Operations and a China Joint Venture, as well as led the effort to successful achievement of international and domestic patents and trademarks.
